running lights not working but brake lights do

I have a 1998 Chevy Truck 1500, and the brake lights do not work. For whatever reason, the read turn signals and brake light are not on when I turn the bike on. I have no idea what else could be wrong. When the bike is turned on the brake light and all four turn signals are always on (slightly dim). I have checked connections in the four position block the taillights connect to and everything was tight.
