12th International Workshop

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to mark your calendars for the 12th International Workshop on the Tumor Microenvironment. This year's conference will be held at the Hotel Intercontinental in Toronto, Canada on May 2-5, 2010.

The Tumor Microenvironment not only is a major factor influencing treatment resistance to conventional anticancer therapies, malignant progression and metastatic potential, but its uniqueness also offers the potential for the development of novel cancer treatment strategies.

This workshop focuses on the characteristics of the tumor microenvironment, its role in resistance to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and novel treatments designed to overcome this resistance. It will also drive new knowledge in areas ranging from cellular and molecular biology, physiology, biochemistry, and pharmacology to drug development and the design of combined modality and molecular targeting approaches. Preclinical and clinical perspectives will be presented by laboratory and physician scientists interested in the tumor microenvironment.

 

Topics to be discussed will include:
